It's okay to be alone at 'Ko-No'
In Korea, there are many 'Coin Noraebangs,' called 'Ko-No' for short.
Instead of renting a room by the hour, you pay per song.
It's very cheap, usually 2-4 songs for 1,000 won.
The rooms are small, so it's not awkward to go alone.
It's perfect for resting and singing while shopping.
Insert a bill, and the number of songs appears on the screen.
Now, it's your stage!
Mastering the Remote Control
The remote looks complex, like a spaceship panel,
but you only need to know three buttons.
1. **Reserve (예약)**: To queue songs you want to sing later.
2. **Cancel (취소)**: To stop a song or correct a mistake.
3. **Start (시작)**: To begin the song.
They have English Pop and J-Pop too!
Press the country button or look at the song book.
The Owner's Gift: 'Service' Time
If you go to a regular Noraebang (hourly rate), expect 'Service.'
When you have about 10 minutes left,
suddenly the timer might jump to 20 or 30 minutes like magic.
This is the owner's free gift, called 'Service.'
In Korea, 'Service' means 'Free of charge.'
If you ask nicely, "Boss, Service please~",
they might give you so much time you can't go home!
How to be a polite singer
There are invisible manners in Noraebang too.
1. **Don't Hog the Mic**: Shake the tambourine and cheer when friends sing.
2. **Cancel Carefully**: Ask before pressing 'Cancel' if your friend wants to stop.
3. **Watch High Notes**: Walls are thin; screaming too loud can be embarrassing.
Having fun is great, but being considerate makes better memories!
